Halloween Kills

Minutes after Laurie Strode (Curtis), her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) left masked monster Michael Myers caged and burning in Laurie’s basement, Laurie is rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, believing she finally killed her lifelong tormentor.

But when Michael manages to free himself from Laurie’s trap, his ritual bloodbath resumes. As Laurie fights her pain and prepares to defend herself against him, she inspires all of Haddonfield to rise up against their unstoppable monster.

The Strode women join a group of other survivors of Michael’s first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all.

Evil dies tonight.

PROJECT DETAILS:
The film will be hitting theaters and the Peacock streaming service on the same date, giving viewers the option to catch it in theaters and at the comfort of their own home. (9/9/21)

Co-writer Danny McBride spoke a bit about the film's storyline in a recent interview, saying: "It takes place the same night, picking up where the last movie ended. Events in the film bring together a lot of characters who were in the 1978 film who we didn’t see last time. They gather to try, once and for all, to take down Michael, to stop this madman." (7/10/20)

Co-writer Scott Teems had a recent interview, where he spoke briefly about the project after having seen a rough cut. Here's what he had to say: "I saw a rough cut of it a few weeks ago, and I'm a little biased, but my gut says that people that like the last one will be very excited about this one. It's like the first one on steroids, I guess. It really is the bigger, badder, meaner version of the first one." (4/20/20)

Actress Kyle Richards will reprise her role as "Lindsey" in the film. Aside from Tommy Doyle, she was the other kid that Laurie was babysitting in the original movie. Also, young actor Jibrail Nantambu has revealed that he'll return as "Julian," who fans may remember as the wisecracking kid that was being babysat in the last Halloween movie. (8/31/19)

It looks like the rumors of Tommy Doyle being in the movie are true, as it was revealed today that Anthony Michael Hall (The Dead Zone series) will be playing the character. (8/26/19)

John Carpenter has recently revealed that he will return to do the film's score. (8/21/19)

There's a new rumor floating around that the character Tommy Doyle would have a role in the film. Fans may remember him as one of the kids Laurie Strode babysat in the original movie. An adult version of the character was played by Paul Rudd in 1995's Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers. Despite this recent trilogy retconning the past sequels, Paul Rudd was rumored to be offered to once again play Tommy Doyle, but reportedly turned it down due to scheduling conflicts, so it appears that if Tommy does return in this sequel it'll be played by another actor. (7/29/19)

David Gordon Green had a recent interview whe he revealed that filming begins this September and confirms that the two sequels will be filmed back-to-back. As far as story goes, he says: "It’s telling the story, moving forward. It’s not another reinvention, or anything like that. It’s this world that we’ve established, and then it continues beyond the events of the first one." (7/25/19)

Universal has confirmed the previously announced release date and that David Gordon Green returns to direct. It's also revealed that the movie will be followed by a third film titled Halloween Ends on October 15th 2021. It's also rumored that this and the third film will be shot back-to-back. (7/19/19)

Recent rumors indicate that the film will begin production this September, specifically after Labor Day and the studio is expected to release the movie to theaters on October 16th 2020. Previous director David Gordon Green reportedly scripted the sequel and may also direct. Though keep in mind that none of this information is confirmed. (6/21/19)

Nick Castle is set to return once again as Michael Myers. Fans may remember him as the original actor that played Michael in the 1978 film and he appeared again as Michael in certain scenes in the previous movie, while stuntman James Jude Courtney played Michael through most of the movie. It's currently not known if James will come back for these sequels.

Stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer and Andi Matichak are all expected to return.

It was originally reporteed that Scott Teems (That Evening Sun, Rectify) would script.

This is a sequel to David Gordon Green's Halloween (2018), which was a sequel to the original 1978 Halloween, technically making this Halloween 3.
