i havent seen any of the scream movies ive always wanted to but never found the time mabye this one will get me into them

For gods sake please kill off Dewy, Gale, or Sidney. The same 3 characters keep surviving every sequel. No matter how many times Dewy gets stabbed and bloodied up he keeps surviving. What does he have 9 lives like a cat? lol.

I'm excited. I like Scream 3 when i saw it, but i was 11 at the time and liked pretty mmuch anything. Now i think it can't compare to the first two. But i'm very open to this because Kevin Williamson didn't write the third film, so it's almost like getting the number 3 we deserved in the first place! The first was the best! Drew Berrymore's torment and eventual death still hits me hard after 13 years.

The Scream movies are the best non supernatural horror films ever made, obviously if the talk of the 3 original charactors being killed in this one will mean the next 3 will be flops unless the put some decent actors in them, otherwise why bother? As for omgosh, I wouldnt take their comments to heart they obviously dont have taste when it comes to horror films, theyre probably fans of House of 1000 Corpses kind of movies and a comment for them "FFS YOURSELF" grow a brain they wouldnt make more Scream movies if it wasnt for fan support and huge numbers of appreciation shown towards these movies, I mean come on people look at what the Scream movies bought us especially the first, a) Killers who killed for personal movieagenic pleasure, Billy Lumas aka (Skeet Urlich) and Matthew Lillard brought us one liners "But Wait its a SCREAMER", non motivated killers, more dangerous than one with motives, like Freddy, he kills kids, Jason the same, the list goes on, all killers had motives even Matt Cordell "Maniac Cop" killed cops. These two Skeet and Matthew opened doors to a new genre of non supernatural horror which even the biggest of TRUE horror fans could admire! The rest of the Scream killers had motives but made some impressive living killers, whether it was Billy Lumas's Mum or Sydneys Brother, they were malicious sociopaths spilling blood and making people jump in cinema's all over the world, if they continue to make Scream movies as good as the first 3, I give them my blessing whole heartedly

Despite my previous statement, I will watch this movie but I don't think it will be any better than Scream 3. First two were great but the third one was just crappy. I bet this movie will be rated pg-13 that is nothing great compared to scream one and two. Sorry, I just have serious doubts how this good this movie will be especially when hollywood likes making pg-13 horror films.

how many people hate sydney prescott? seriously by six films are they really going to have a diferant pair of killers every time?at least they arnt remaking it.

ok so i know the scream movies arnt the most amazing films ever but scream 2 was my first horror movie and i fell in love..give me a break im only 20 and that was 1997 so ive seen a few since but like ever horror fan you never forget your first. so i do love the scream series. Im just curious how the hell kevin williamson is going to turn out 3 more films..i do think they will kill sid by the end tho.

Couldn't agree with you more Joshua. Scream is a smart horror franchise. It's nice actually having characters that you scare about. Especially the main three. Their characters have all grown and changed so much throughout the course of the original trilogy. It will be interesting to see what they're like now 10 years down the road . . . and if any of them will actually make it to the end of the new trilogy. I'm psyched for these movies!

The reason Scream 3 wasn’t copasetic was the fact that Kevin Williamson didn’t write the script. With him returning to write all three of the new films I have high expectations. I am not one of those douche-bag Anti-Scream genre-fanboys that are forever lamenting the lost days of cheap T&A flicks that passed as horror back in the 80s. I like actors that can actually act and are age appropriate for their roles. Watching 30 year olds play teenagers was pushing the boundaries of suspension of disbelief especially in goad-awful movies. I can’t wait for these films, but I hope like hell that Sydney turns out to be a killer. And I really hope that producers did not pander to genre-hating Neve Campbell whose career took a nosedive once she declared her abhorrence to the genre and films that actually made her a bankable start to begin with. You ever notice that? Anytime an actor moans and groans about a movie they made their career tends to decline? And that never works out for award contenders… Bert Reynolds and Richard Gere can thank themselves for being snubbed at Oscar time. I hope Williamson and Craven redefine the slasher subgenre once again.

i remeber when the first scream came out! wow its been some time since the first films. i liked the screams, 3 was ok. i would love to see the 4th one and to bring back all three of the main ppl from the first 3 is awsome! cant wait for this movie but we most likely wont see it till the end of next yr!!!!! worht the wait

i remember when scream 2 came out i was about 7 or 8 and i didnt want to sleep in my tent after the movie i was so freaking scared

I am looking forward to this film i will admit 3 was horrible lol it did have a good plot but it was pretty bad not scary or had many thrills at all. They def should have made it like the first one if they were gonna end it on a trilogy so long ago now lol.

I'm hoping they have something awesome in the works i hear dewy and gale have a kid now which is cool. I hope sydney is back for alil bit if neve doesnt want to be in the whole thing she can be the first one 2 die in the new film considering they have a plan for a new trilogy and will take place with new group of kids. Perhaps billy loomis has a brother or stu macher as well u never know if they have any siblings maybe their the new killers at school in woodsboro who knows.

I just hope they write a really good script and make it just as good as the first film was.

You know, its not like I didn't like the other ones but I'm getting tired of all the sequels. Come up with new ideas and not just killing it with sequels and remakes

i think the movie should be about sidneys child that she had either with billy or her botfriend in college that she gave up for adoption, and the new killer would go after him. it would be a change of pace for horror films the target wont be a female. im looking forward to more new wave stalking too like aim facebook twitters and the like

Ya, I agree. Scream 4 better be damn fuckin' good. The first two were entertaining but the 3rd film sucked ass. I'm afraid this one might just be a steaming pile. I think I can smell it already. C'mon Craven, let's pop some x-lax and get this party going.

Out of the Scream triology, I own the first one.
Imo, it was the best and only one worth watching.

The Scream Trilogy was good. If they go through with this then it better be better than the first three films. They've had plenty of time to come up with a good plot. Don't give us a sucky number 4 or why even bother.

if this actually gets made, they better make it really good. Scream 3 was completely terrible even though it did have a nice twist to it. But the movie was horrible with the acting, and the fact it had less gore than the first two films. I predict its either going to be good or really bad. Hopefully it will be a good movie and not run the franchise to the ground like the saw movies.

I can't see this being too good either way. If Craven directs it, it might be better then if he doesn't. But, it still will be nothing more then a rehashed plot. In saying that, I hope I am proven wrong. Also, having Neve Campbell back for the fourth will only work if she dies, Dewey dies, or Gail dies. No way all 3 would survive 4 killers. That would officially put them past Tommy Jarvis for longest survival in a horror movie series.

Since when is it very unlikely that Craven won't be returning. Everything I have read has said that he is skeptical of the film, but is waiting for a script to make up his mind. He seems hopeful in his interview with Variety a few weeks ago...
